I have 2 cranks from 360
4027169 with cfd cast into it and a
3418640 . Are both crank the same or is one better ? I'm planing on building a 78 year block and want the better one of the two

dont think it really matters....
 
...............the 74-75 360 4bbl hp engine had a shot peened cast crank from the factory.......I don't know the number off hand........kim.........
 
All I can remember is the CFD means it was casted by GM...and we suppose to be very good castings...
 
right! CFD was the GM casting, I think the Pontiac(?) division did them. weren't they used on the 4-speed engines only? I'd use whichever one needs the least amount of work...cleaning and polishing journals.
