I put a 360 intake on my 318 in order to use the newer a/c compressor and now the engine is using oil, and doesn't idle very well,no smoke from the pipes, I used 360 gaskets, and have sprayed all over for leaks, no vacuum leaks on top, could it be pulling from underneath? any ideas?
Thanks and God Bless Bruce

sounds like maybe your gaskets them selves maybe leaking and undectable from the top. You sure its not anything as simple as a missing vacuum cap of the carb or something..

Intake ports are to big for a 318 and it most likely sucked in the gasket on the bottom, get the proper 318 intake with the same ports,Mrmopartech

i have a 318, stock 318 heads with a stock 360 intake that runs fine in my garage running the fel-pro intake gaskets with the little blue rings around the ports.

Try to re-seal the intake.
The best thing to do (if you have the time and/or cash) is to port match the intake and heads.
