No..i cant wait.. haha. im soo excited i have to go work on the car and relieve some high intense excitement.. from a 170 slant six to my 30over 360 with eddy heads rmp intake and cam and a 700 eddy carb.. Ugh.. im trembling with excitement.

thanks Mike. i just dont want to see the bill.

Cool. Sounds like it is going to be alot of fun.

How long do you have to wait to get it back?

:wav: :wav: :wav: Right on Jeff, sometimes ya just gotta grab the bull by the horns and......$$spend$$

Im suppling all the parts since i work for NAPA.. so how ever long it takes me to gather them.. but the machining should all be done by the end of next week and i can start putting things in.

Hope you can get some sleep tonight.

LMAO.. No Comment at this point in time :toothy7:

But no Im not stroking the motor.

Has the machine shop finish honing with a deck plate? and square decking to a specific deck height?
I take it the crank, rods and pistons are at the MS with the block?

360 can make a good running performance engine for you.
What cam are you going to run?
Do you know what year the block was cast?

73 I see - none roller.

Theres a real nice build in a Mopar Muscle mag I have. 360, .030". Diamond forged pistons. Crane retro fit hyd roller. 238, 242 @ .050", RPM heads with no port work, Air gap intake, Holley Ultra HP 750 carb. It made 450 horse power at 6000rpms and 450 ft of torque 4000rpms.

Thats a nice street motor.

Ya im gonig to do some flat tops to stay in the 9-10:1 ratio and the eddy RPM top end kit....
cam im unsure of. altho the eddy kit supplies one i think. i might run that and see how that works.

i took the heads and rods out. [kept them]
i dont know what internals i will use. Not even a clue.

Thanks guys. Im glad to see that im not the only one who feels and felt like this when they send their motor to be rebuilt.

Jeff

Jeff...sounds great! If you dont mind me asking, which shop is doing the work? If you need any help with assembly,or anything, just yell,eh?

That's awesome, glad you jumped in with both feet :toothy7: That should make some nice power.

Ya.. sure should.. wanna meet at the strip? haha

Darwin, I took it to our bodies over at Cords. on dunford. Daryl's his name.
Maybe when I found out when I can start buying parts suggestions on parts would be great.. brands and what not. That would help.

Can I use roller rockers or do i have to stay with non.. will rollers make a difference if i did?

Thanks.
:coffee2:

I know the feeling about getting pumped working on your own engine. Trying to get it to perform like you want to and have it reliable. I am doing just that and with the help with the likes of AdamR, 388Dart and Moper along with the rest of the senior members, you just can't go wrong...

Cerwin, good luck with that build. I hope it puts a big grin on your face makes your knuckles white!
