Nice build list.

I myself would not advance the cam. IMO you’ll gain very little.

A good carb is one you understand and can work on easy. I suggest a 750 in the future.

You should be good with 91 octane but I’d like to know the gasket thickness and bore size. I can not recall these specs on the 1008. If you were head gasket less, I’d recommend a gasket not a .001 thicker than a .045.

.005 + .045 = .050. That is the max recommended distance for having any quench.

Thanks rumblefish gasket is 4.180 ,.039 thick , and the carb didn’t know what cfm I’m ok with Holley or Carter not current with the new stuff out their eg. avenger 670 or avs 2 just would like a trouble free carb after it set up.lol

I like the Carter’s for every day driving and high performance. The only maintained with some carb cleaner every once in a long while at the air bleeds and down the throat to help clear the carbon out. They hood there tune very well. Set it, jet it, forget it, your good to go.

If you want to use the AVS II, use the 650 with the air cleaner lid above it.
