Can I use the stock 360 magnum flex plate with my 727 transmission instead of buying the B&M SFI plate. I am not using this for drag racing. I have a Hughes converter.

Yes, you can use the stock flex plate. You'll have to slot or elongate one of the holes for the converter. The other three will line up.

Somewhat like this, but who dun this went ape with the hole elongation.

Just make sure you pull the weight off the 360 converter. The proper 360 Mag flex should be weighted to the Magnum engine

That's the engine balance weight on the converter you remove
the converter should have its own balance weight or ???

A converter will usually have a few weights around the outside edge used to balance the converter. My stock 360 converter did. But a 360 and some 5.9 magnum balanced converters will have a weight welded to the flexplate mating side. THAT one needs to be removed to make it a neutral balance. The balance weight will then be on the 5.9 magnum flexplate.
