What is the biggest valves tou can run on a standard bore 383?

the factory hp motors had 2.09" intakes so I think a 2.14" would fit fine. that's only .025" more towards the edge. consider this if your block is one a stand put a head on it, turn it over and have a look see.

2.08 = .030 bigger per side = fine

A 2.19 intake will hit the side of the 4.250" cylinder wall at about .750" lift

Thanks guys, i hqve a set of full port 452s i was thinking of throwng on the stock 64 383, wind it up and see what it does, with the original closed chamber heads it went 12.65, and my 452s ccd at only 3 more than the closed chamber heads so i may try it
