Has anybody done this? I ask because I have my 70 duster that I drive and I have 71 duster thats on the project block in a way. I found what rumors to be (and this is a legitimate mopar guy that owns) a 392 hemi and transmission that 550 dollars will buy. the owner is out of the game now days and its setting wedged in some pickup in the back pasture. I think this would be an awesome build up. Input anyone?

Mine weighed about 770 lb before I stripped it. 392 is a little heavier.
Some day if i had the money it would be nice to have a set of aluminum heads as the old ones are about 75 lb a piece.

I have a 354 Hemi was thinking about doing the same thing. the 354 331 will fit a little bit better because of a lower deck. I talked to the guys at Hot Heads they really know their stuff. It is expensive but if you go with all aluminum parts you can get down the small block weight. I know thats hard to believe but it looks possible just need a big wad of cash.
