4 Speed Console Base

I am converting my 1969 Dart auto console car to 4 speed.

Is the console base the same between the two? Do I just need the top parts?

4 speed base has a big cutout on the drivers side to clear the floor hump. Google Image a 4 speed console.

Same other than the cutout? I would be willing to cut my AT console base if that is the only difference...

There's a guy down the road from my parents that did the same thing to his 68 dart, just cut out the opening for the wider 4spd boot. Looks good to me but when you look at it carefully, you can see where he cut.

There is a peice that fills in that hole to cover the lower boot and the shifter. There is also a console Pistol grip shifter available for a-bodies. Site is Gunslinger shifters.

okay I looked but couldn't find it. Isn't there a way to convert the lid/top to 4 speed. Could have swore someone on here was doing it ???
