can anyone help me id this trans. on the drivers side cover where the shift rods are its casted c95664z and 12-8 and on the tail 9x28 then on passenger side c96581h and passenger side tail c96706h can any help??????

It's hard to do it with casting numbers. Do you have a photo? How long is the extension housing and where are the shifter mount bosses? If it's a short tail )A-body style), is it a 25 or 29 spline output shaft?

The shifter mount boss is right behind the trans crossmember and castings are all I could find on the trans. The tail housing is a bit long but there is not another shifted mount boss like the b body trans are there other 4 speeds other than the 833? I don't know a lot about mopar cars this is my first one so I'm a bit lost on it

Should be some stamped numbers on it-look for a flat area below the side cover.
