Looking to get a 408 short block from Muscle Motors. Going to top it with a set of 308's from a 360/360 Commando crate engine(2.02 valves). I have a few cams lying around. What does anybody think about the old DC 528/284 solid? I have a 10 inch converter and a 4.10 gear already in my Demon. I want to get back into drag racing. Going to pull the matching numbers 340 out, so I can't hurt it. The car ran high 12's-low 13's with the stock 340, looking to get high 11's. Or should I just get something new from Comp Cams? I also have an old Ultradyne solid, about a 550 lift. Thanks.

I'd take the Ultradyne over the .528 any day. The .528 is not enough cam for a 4" stroke engine that needs to make some steam. Look at something more modern, in the 240-250° @ .050 duration area.

Check out the Comp Cams MM lobes section. Some real nice lobe selection in there.Check out Bad440s build thread, has a cam spec'd real close to what Moper recommended in a video.Gives you a rough idea.
