426 street hemi or 440 six c.f.m. ?

last week on graveyard cars Mark asked "what had more carb size-the 426 street hemi, or the 440 with 3 two barrels ?

IIRC... 350 + 350 + 500 cfm
AND .... 2 bbls are measure differently than 4 bbl.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, rated @ two different pressures drops.
You are close! 350 center, 500 outboards. 1350 total cfm.
In 4bbl. terms, it is approximately 950cfm.

426 was 625 and 625 = 1250.

IIRC the race hemi had 770 cfm each 1540 total.

Here's the thing guys CARTER carbs were measured differently than HOLLY 4bbl. and as noted HOLLEY 2bbls were rated differently than 4bbl HOLLEY. I would guess the 426 4bbls were "more"
