Guys I have a 440 block - with this cast on the side

440-6

does this indicate this is 440 six pack motor?

Any help will be appreciate.

No. It means the core box the block was cast in had been retooled or cleaned up 6 times. There are no outward signs or numbers that denote a certain type of 440 block. The engine assembly would be stamped HP if it was a performance engine and sometimes with a "1" or "2" designating the shift it was assembled, but there is no telling a standard HP from a six pack based on casting numbers or block stampings. All 440s, from the standard passenger car to six packs use the same base block.

That could be a mold number used to track if there are any quality issues, they can zero in on which mold it's coming from... Like cavity number etc....
