440 source heads too much flow?

Building a 440 with close to a .500 lift cam. Some folks say the 440 source heads will kill the low end power. They flow 290 on the intake, the eddy's flow like 210. Anyone tested this out yet? I would like to know before I pull the trigger on this. Thanks
 
They are an Edelbrock. No clue where you got the 290cfm from, but they are not nearly that good. The CNC ones might be... but not as cast. The RPMs and stock port Stealths flow abound 240cfm out of the box IIRC. That's fine.
 
That was from Ken at 440 source, maybe he did not understand what I was asking him. I sure want to get a set instead of old iron ones for close to the same money.
 
That's interesting. Talk about shooting your own potential sale in the foot.

Even on a stockish 440, they'd be an improvement over the factory iron stuff in many ways.
