440 Source solid lifters

The oil band is simply to facilitate an access point from the oil gallery into the lifter body………which is where oil for extra lube to the lifter foot and/or pushrod oiling would come from.
If you don’t need either one of those, then there is no need for the oil band.

My guess is they would work great with a stealth or Eddy head build. If you want more than that you may be disappointed.
Looks to be competing against something like comp cams 829 lifter. Are they Chinese?
Nice to have options.

Doesn't say. USA they would probably say so. Here's their description.

Heavy Duty Mechanical (Solid) Lifters -Without Oil Band
We offer our flat tappet solid (mechanical) lifters. A nice set, these are made directly for us by the same factory that makes them for many of the "name brand" lifters, and that allows us to offer them at a fraction of the cost. These lifters are completely solid with no oil band. These are the most desirable type of solid lifter to use in a big block Mopar. Some other types of solid lifters can have an oil band or groove cut into them. In some cases, as the cam raises the lifter, the groove can intersect with the oil galley and allow major releases of oil, leading to oil pressure issues and excess windage. So we highly recommend these "full body" style lifters to ever prevent that from happening. As with any solid lifters, ADJUSTABLE ROCKER ARMS MUST BE USED. These must be used with a cam designed for solid flat tappet lifters. Sold as a set of 16. Seat height is 1.303". The "cup" in these lifters will fit either a 5/16" or a 3/8" ball size on the pushrod. In Stock

Says they are made by same company as who makes many other name brand lifters. Thats like two or three possibilities right?

And $200 for a set isn’t exactly made in china prices right?

Anyone running these lifters? No oil groove better? Just curious.
Pardon Our Interruption...
I was looking at them the other day too. I have a spare Engle Solid here and no lifters. Figured it was kinda silly to have cam no lifters and price was attractive.
They look like the 30 year old set of Comp-Cams ones i have. I alas thought how much worse can the present Comp ones could they be.
Here's are my 30 year or so old comps
