4bbl Manifold

I test fitted my intake and noticed this.
Not running egr, hoping headers will block the flow of exhaust, but not sure if this will cause issues.
Anyone put the performer 2176 manifold on a mid 80's 318 ?

I do have a factory cast iron 4bbl manifold, but wanted to go lighter and use the Holley 570 4bbl carb I have.

Nothing flows through the outer passage.

Those are intentionally exposed as heat sinks for the exhaust cross over. Normal.

Yes and incorrectly so. Factory Chrysler gaskets leave them exposed so the heat can escape.
