Thinking of putting a 5.7L Hemi in my Duster which I've heard bolts right up to the 727/904 trans. Can I use the same Hemi from a truck/suv as out of a car? Also, what crossmembers/motor mounts will I have to get for it to fit? Engine management?

I can only help a little as I was looking into this swap a while back. You can use either engine, intakes and water pump outlets I believe are different between the two though. You can use a 904 or 727, just leave out the top bolt and cut the ring gear off the flywheel. Shumaker Creative Services has the mounts you'll need. Also, type in www.thehemi.com (I think) that site has a lot of useful info for ya

Did you end up going another route or what happened? I'm still torn between the hemi and a built 340.

I'm going with a 360 magnum instead. I sold my half built 440 last year to buy some parts for the dart and was kind of bummed that I never got to finish it, so I am building this time. I'm trying to get around 375 horse out of it for $5000, including TTI's and full exhaust. My wife gave me a budget and I think I may have blown it going with the new hemi instead. I would still like to do a pro touring car with that setup some day though.
