I am looking for help. I am currently building a 1968 Hemi (528) Barracuda and of course I am addressing clearance issues. The issue I need help with is steering column/Head clearance. The stock column will not clear the head. I have spoken with Flaming River and they have suggested a column etc, however if someone out there has put a Hemi in an A-body I would appreciate any feedback/help regarding steering column clearance. I am leary to order something and find out I still have to modify to fit. I would like to keep a stock column look.

Thanks

I recall seeing an article on redrilling the mounting holes for the steering box. look online at the Mopar magazine sites, and you will find it.

I put a 528 Hemi in my '73 Duster. You can cut back the metal sleeve portion of the steering column. I did that on my stock column. I have since switched to a race style tubular column.
