What would it take to make 550 horse with this setup

440 bored 030
452 heads not ported
stock crank
509 cam
10 5 1 compression
M1 intake single plane
850 quickfuel Carb

I am looking into a cam change and porting the heads I don't have the money to buy alium heads I want to run low 7s in the eighth thanks
 
well im no expert on rb,s but it seems to me A good port job and a set of 456s in back that 7s would be cake ...as long as you have the tiers to hold it
 
Blueprint for the compression if you haven't, better heads, better cam.
 
Porting the heads to make the 550 power you want will take a bit of work. If you dont port the intake, its going to be tough to get it.

I would run a 1.7 rocker to get some lift out of that cam, it will help a lot. But switching to a Solid cam with 250/260 duration will help even more
