I've been working on my hood and the stranded is what we used
to bond everything after flanging and tack welding.
Duraglas I think it is called, did a good job.
 
The plan now is to sand it down, put long strand filler then short strand. Prime seal paint install and enjoy. Am I missing any steps? I never really done this.
 
Just make sure you"feather edge" the fiberglass into the hood so the scoop looks molded.
Once you think you have got it ready for primer, prime it then lightly guide coat the primer with a contrasting rattle can paint and wet sand to find any high/ low spots then if you have to reprime and then paint. I cant wait to see it finished
