I need to replace the engine mounts in one of my 64 Valiants. I have looked and all I am finding is 67-up engine mounts, they look the same as the ones I am wanting to replace. Is there a diffrence??????

This is what I need the mounts for..1964 Plymouth Valiant 170/6 A904 auto.....

the part number you need is 2303 and 2304 left and right sides. Made by Westar or Anchor.

Hard to find but there are some on EBAY

the 170 slant six (2.8 liter) uses a different mount than the 225 slant six (3.7 liter)
here are the listing for 2303 left 2304 is same application except right side

Those look terrible, glad you are addressing them. Even the 65 V8 Barracuda took a different insulator than the 65 V8 Dart. Similar thickness to the driver side. Most cheapies are made in India now, not real good quality, but better than what you got for sure.

Check over at slant six.org someone was making poly ones and was a group buy.May still have some. Do a search for slant six poly mounts for early A's

While you're changing those, you'll want to fix your transmission mount too. I had to make a quick stop and put my fan through my radiator because of that sucker. Imperial Services sells a poly one that's very well made. Just don't expect it in a hurry.

Wow, I didn't know that. What's the difference?

The 65 Dart insulator looks like the leter style, about 3/4 inch of rubber between 2 plates, the "grilled cheese sandwich" look.

DODGE DART (1964 - 1973)
PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA (1968 - 1969)
PLYMOUTH VALIANT (1966 - 1972)

The 65 Barracuda looks like a 3 inch thick brownie originally with an overlapping plate

Check Rockauto under valiant (barracuda is the same but not listed)

If you must, you can do a mickey-mouse retrofit of '67-'72 mounts shimmed with plywood to get the right total thickness. Best to keep this as a temporary get-by measure. If you buy the mass-market replacement mounts, be advised you are buying compressed cow poo from India or China and you will be doing the job again (and again and again and again) in short order. If you want to do the job once and never have to think about your motor mounts again, get these American-made ones.

Yep ,, thats the ones !! got them for my 63 Valiant...

I got the mounts from Schumacher.... Thanks everyone...
