I like to have the option. If she is rambling radio delete is no help... But the old Alpine radio cassette player allows me to drown out that babble with a little Sabbath. If it's a good day I turn it way down to some softer sound from the Eagles. The little 273 4 gear with the original exhaust resonator sounds good either way.

Hi my fellow Moparian cronies:lol:, got the brake lines out, and flaring tools~ got busy on running brake lines, not finished, but getting there. The first thing was getting the Maxjax connected and getting the Dart up, the maxjax has made my life so much better working on cars n such. Tomorrow I need to clean shop a bit, then I'll get back on the brake lines;)

looks like your shop is height limited like mine. i fitted a 'short' 2 post lift even though i can still only get about 4 foot clear under a car. i've got an old leather office chair with the back and armrests taken off that's spot on for rolling around under there. with my back the issue working on the floor wasn't getting down underneath, it was getting back up again afterwards. this has transformed my shop and was cheap too off ebay at £1500 (sterling) delivered.
neil.

Hey Neil, sure beats a floor jack and jackstands. I get rather dizzy when laying on my back so my 4 post lift and maxjax lifts make my life quite pleasant. Seeing a car as high as it will go on my mj in my low ceiling garage, it’s impressive;)

i tried a high lift (3ft) floor jack with taller 6 ton jackstands first. i was lifting one end 18", sit it on normal stands. repeat the other end then repeat a 3rd and 4th time to full height for the big stands. what a palarva that was. :BangHead:

Hey Zach, oh yeah, it's 12' wide and 11' tall. It is fabulous;) I built it a while back, it is so useful. One pic is of my brother wetblasting the underneath of his '58 Willys. Thank you for noticing

Do I spy a gantry crane? Is that thing wide enough to go around your lift?

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a good looking B for being 57 years old!

Howdy y'all , I played with my speakers today, I have some aluminum sheet that comes in handy. It's rigid enough that I think it will withstand bounce/bumps. The dash is still in the car right now up on the lift~ just don't like getting up there to check it out. The dash will be coming out soon enough. If I'm happy with it, it will be painted black and have some stripping around the edges for noisy. My progress is slow, I'm sad.

Looking good, needs to be trimmed down some and a spacer between the mounting points and dash to keep it from warping . Also either foam rubber strips or felt strips around the two speakers and the dash to keep it from vibrating.

Good morning;) I've spent a week on fixin my Triumph TR6. It has a Miata engine and one day it just quit running. Found it to be the fuel pump in the gas tank. So that's out of the way.
Yesterday, I spent some time prepping/painting my bumpers for paint~ matt metallic black. They came out pretty good.

This morning, I really need to place an order for evaporator (under the dash system). Oh the gas tank, fill tube, sender, etc should be in today

So, better get busy

Yes, and was considering "other" bumpers when in fact, the factory bumpers work just fine :thankyou:

Good to see you back! That TR6 is cool....I like how you carried the stripe right on into the engine compartment. How does the Mazda engine perform compared to the original motor? I'd say you can buy more go fast goodies for the Mazda compared to the itty bitty 6 that was in it originally. Did you use a Mazda transmission too? OK, I'll stop askin questions......lol.

Hey JD, thank you for the compliments on my little TR/mx (triumph + Miata);) One of my favorite builds;) I love questions  As for performance wise compared to the original engine, I can't say as I've never driven the original product. The Nissan differential upgrade, I think it's about a 4.11 is super quiet, very common upgrade. My transmission is the 5 speed miata. Also the AC is on most all the time as I'm a wimp when it comes to heat/humidity. we drove to Sarosota, Florida to buy the hard top, I love the way it looks, very well worth the drive. I'd say it's a comfortable power, get get up and go. Never fails to start(unless the fuel pump goes out).
Taking a break to order the AC for the Dart;)

After the Harvey flood, and a year later, I got back on re-restoring it. Luckily the flood waters didn't get any higher as seen just mid-tail lights. My 67 Mustang was total restoration.

Starting to get the gas tank and other items in. but how do I go about getting this gas neck in? Do I cut this little vent thing off and tap it for another vent thingy? I guess I could just cut enough off for it to go through the body? I do have a gasket to go between it and the body.
:realcrazy:

Is the fitting too long to **** it back at an angle to get it to fit thru the opening? If it is, you may have to cut it off flush with the tube, drill the remainder out of the tube and resolder the piece you cut off back in. All you need sticking out is enough for a hose clamp to tighten on below the nub on the end.

Hey, have to quit meeting this way;) yes, it's too long, but I didn't think about gently bending it, but maybe cutting just enough to clear the body would be good too~
:thankyou: :thankyou:
