64 Valiant Qtr Panel Trim Spears on 65 Barracuda

I have long admired these spears I saw on a friend's '65 Barracuda many moons ago. I am thinking strongly of this mod to my Barracuda. As I understand, they were only available on 1964 Valiant Signet 200 models. Here's a picture I found somewhere of the Valiant:

I also found this picture of a '65 Barracuda with those spears mounted.

Was just interested in other opinions on how this looks on a '65 Barracuda before I start drilling the mounting holes.

Since I am not doing much else, I think I am gonna proceed with this. They are going to go here on both sides.

I have 3 pairs of parts to work with, none perfect. But still a go. Wish me luck. : )

Somebody put them on my 65 Barracuda sometime during it's life. I don't really care for them and plan to remove them and fill the holes.

I kinda wish I could see what they would look like on a medium turquoise Barracuda. I bought my car from what appeared to be a clan of crackheads in GA, and they did so much weird stuff to the car I just got in the mindset that I need to undo all of it to un F' the car so it's more normal. I may steal the pic of the white car above and see if someone could photoshop a color change to Med. Turquoise with the spears. Might save me from filling the holes if it grows on me....lol.

The side trim from that Valiant you pictured would surely round out the look, rather than the lower rocker trim from the Barracuda.
