Which car has more room in the rear for tires or are they about the same? Thank you.

I don't think you would gain much from either
i'd say the dart probably might'en but it's more likely fairly even betwixt the two.
if you're looking for max with stock stuff (rear ends, rims, spring locations) 245 is about it with judicious selection of components.

Thanks yall. About the same is what I'm hoping. I found some wheels. Guy is gonna bring um to the club meet next Sunday and I'm gonna see if they'll fit. I'm betting not, but we're gonna find out.
Neither one has a Hell of a LOT!
Both of them are very tough to put even a 9
Inch Slick on them for racing.

Here are the wheels in question. I have SEEN them on his 68 Dart, but paid little attention since they were not for sale THEN. They are a sorta "semi reverse" wheel.
I'm kinda thinking that. We'll see.

I fit a 245 60 15x7 on my friends 64 valiant we had that on a 15x7 rim with 4 3/8 backspace. I fit a 255 60 15 on my 64 dart with that same size rim but had to roll the lip a bit.
Small bolt pattern 7.25 and small bolt 8 3/4 were the rears

That's pretty much the same story for a 67-76 Dart. 255's will fit, some cars will need some quarter lip modification to pull it off.
I put 15 x 8 Rallye wheels on my 67....with 255-60-15s.
The wheels were widened by Wheel Vintiques.
