Will I have any issues swapping the 4-speed and rear end from a 1965 barracuda into my 74 dart? I may be able to get one at a reasonable price, but want to make sure the parts will swap over before I look at the car. I know I would need a new bellhousing to fit my slant, but what about everything else? floor hump, pedals, clutch fork, etc...

The '65 will also have the weak 7 1/4 rear end, verses what is already in your '74 (an 8 1/4, I believe).

I would highly suggest you look at another donor car. That 65' tranny will also have the trunion rear fastening for the drive shaft, rather than a U-joint.

Big differences between a '65 and '74 A-bodies!

Ay matey,
Be more then glad to help you with the swap sounds like you may have what I want 8 1/4" and you want what I don't 7 1/4" and early wide ratio trans.

Seriously though sounds like others have talked you off the ledge, I was just going to give you a little nudge. Hahahaha !!!
