65 Barracuda: Converting to 4BBL, kickdown suggestions...

Hey guys,

I'm converting my 65 Barracuda to a 4 BBL. 273 w 4 speed manual (A-833).

I have finally tracked down a D4B after a couple months of searching, and picked up a shiny new 1405 Eddy Carb.

Do I need throttle cable and kickdown?

I was looking on Lokars site, but for the kickdown, they dont mention the A-833... only the 727,904 & 518...

If any of you can provide the part#'s I need, that would be awesome...

Shane, there is no kick down for a manual transmission. The kick down is for automatics to go from 3rd to 2nd for high torque passing gear. In a manual you would just shift from 4th to 3rd. Hope that makes sense.

You do need a throttle cable though, same for auto and manual I believe. Lokar has a good set up, I have not used it but have seen it on others.....

Stock 2bbl cable will work with 4bbl.
