I've been wanting to change my stock '65 B'cuda console shifter knob for a while now. So I decided on a T handle style and if I want to use the stock black shifter ball, I can.
I made the T out of solid 3/4" aluminum bar and added finger grooves to the front to better grip the handle. To fasten the two parts, I counter sunk a 10-32 screw for a recessed slot head to tighten the two halves together. The screw fits into the lt half and screws into the right half and the screw passes through a small .159" hole drilled into the shifter stem.
Anyone else fab a custom shifter knob for your '65 console shifter?
