65 barracuda firewall junction box

For some reason my junction box that feeds through the firewall is too small for the square cutout ...why???? auto/manual different?

Hmm. Did you try turning it 90*? There is a triangular protrusion that lines up with a slot. I'm perplexed?!

That is really a strange one, maybe you have an older harness?

Can you post some photos? It does not actually go through, it attaches to or plugs into the inside sticking out into the engine bay about 1/2 inch, and the two plugs and two wires attach to IT from the under hood side.
