I'm almost at the point of pulling the front and rear glass. They have never been out before and the car has signifigant surface rust - so the channels will need some fixin'.

Additionally, the headliner needs to be installed.

So.... who makes the best fitting front and rear window gaskets? cost? supplier?

I don't care about the "look" of the lockstrip being right; just a good seal is all I care about.

thanks

I believe they are all made by one manufacturer anyway. About a year ago one of the two manufactures quit making them and the other manufacturer wasn't stocked up. You could not find the gaskets anywhere. Once the single manufacturer made a production run they started appearing from several suppliers.

Call Jeff at Deutchmann Automotive! He is very knowledgeable, is cheaper than everybody else, and he has early A bodies of his own! 419-352-7894, tell him Geof sent ya!! Geof

I gave him a call and an order Geoff. Very nice guy....and yes, knowledgeable!!
Both gaskets are available. JUST in case, I'm not going to pull the glass until I have them in hand.

BTW: the only parts that do not come with the gasket / lockstrip is the 2 aluminum 90 deg. pieces in the corners of the rear window. those need to be saved and reused.

Check with laysons restore..I think they supply the corners for the gasket..They are starting to produce more for our cars.
