I am considering getting the rear seat latches re-plated on my '65 Barracuda. Can these be disassembled for plating without damaging them? How do you remove the pin? Anybody done this successfully or am I better off leaving well enough alone? They're pretty nice as they are, but do have some pits.

Those look pretty good for 55 years old. I wouldn't sweat it, use em like they are, that's what I did. Mine are almost in identical condition to what you have there. 65'

I agree. The pits are so few and small I don't think they'll be noticed, even at a show. I doubt these would be easy to disassemble anyway without causing damage, but thought I'd ask the list.

Once in a while rechroming ends up mis-shaping the part and you have a fitment problem like a latching issue. These look like a 9 out of 10. I would leave them as is. Don't sweat it! Money better spent elsewhere!
