65 Barracuda is getting a new drivetrain. All else is stock. Might as well do the "smart" wiring upgrade!
electronic ignition. simplicity and reliability is key. NOT a show car by any means....just a weekend driver.
looks like the HEI is the way to go. MP electronic "kit" is ~ $200 now........
Questions:
1) what is the required "donor" distributor?
2) what is the cost?
Ammeter "bypass". oh no...THE dreaded topic of all time!!!!!! lol
1) tie the two leads together not connected to the ammeter: BAD
2) run ammeter leads with an internally regulated alt. directly to the batt, leaving the ammeter in the circuit. ammeter does nothing... opinions?
3) what's your "favorite".
4) the "mad" electrical bypass?
5) leave it in place.....why worry.....
Headlight Relays?
1) I like the GE Nighthawks. I've got enough parts to do the relays with ceramic sockets. VERY VERY important with higher wattage bulbs.
2) ..no option here....imho....do it.
Anything else???????? what would you add?
1) stereo will go in. any power needed for an amp will come off the batt. directly. Head unit power off stock radio leads.
