65 Barracuda Valiant Circuit Board Fuel Gauge Connection

I took apart my dash to get at the fuel gauge and nothing was attached to the stud nut marked "S". So I looked at three other cars and same thing - nothing attached to that post. Does anyone know what would connect to that stud post?

Nothing, nada. You can see the back of two gauges that are attached with the four silver nuts. Follow the circuit board under them and you can see are powered at the 8/9 pin connector.
