65 dart candy cane trim

anyone ever try to eliminate the hood trim and candy cane trim around th head lights? just wondering what it would look like? pictures. also getting rid of the hood emblem. anyone?

I think it would look great. I took the candy canes off my 65 and they are not going back on.
