Hi all. A buddy sent this to me from Montana. It looks like a 65 Dart post to me, but this fender tag (sorry for the bad pic) is throwing me off. Also, the fact that it's riveted on. Ideas?
No. I would expect to see numbers for the engine under the Capitol A and B even if there are none anywhere else in that row. Unless 1965 Dart fender tags are different than Barracudas. Thanks Jeff. The format on my tag just doesn't look the same as the early A body ones in your linked page does it?
thanks Mike. Why are there not numbers under the Capital A and B for the engine? Is that a Dart thing?A 2 door sedan. 270 model. Yes, it looks like a 65. VIN#?
Yes, The AB is the engine. Let me see if I can find my books quick.thanks Mike. Why are there not numbers under the Capital A and B for the engine? Is that a Dart thing?
63 and 64 says "standard engine, no code" 65 engine is under the AB. (like the 66)thanks Mike. Why are there not numbers under the Capital A and B for the engine? Is that a Dart thing?
Maybe this old girl is a late 64? Thanks Mike I did not know that.63 and 64 says "standard engine, no code" 65 engine is under the AB. (like the 66)
Cool so we have an R1. Do you have Galen's books?QR is where the engine code is on the 63's and 4's. No code, standard engine. Slant 6.
Wait a cotton pickin' minute here. I wonder if it's not Canadian. The style of tag doesn't match anything in the book. The top row of small letter tags didn't come out until 66.Maybe this old girl is a late 64? Thanks Mike I did not know that.
