65 dart gt RPM

Hi, my 65 dart runs at about 3000rpm at 65-70mph, does this sound about right or should it be lower rpm. Differential is 2.93 rear tyres are 225/60/15, car is 3 speed auto.

I have a 65 cuda 2.93 Rear with 245/60 R14 that runs at about 3000rpm at 65-70mph. Mine has a 4-Speed

Going to try some taller tyres hopefully next week (27inch) current tyres are 25.6. just to see what difference it makes. Problem is that a taller wide tyre will not fit on the car. But if the test tryes reduce the revs I will look at changing the gearing to 2.76 which should give a similar rev reduction to the larger tyre. Just wanted to make sure the high revs were to be expected with the current set up.

My 65 Valiant with the 225 and manual 3 speed and a 4bbl carb revs 3000 at 75 (or at 25 in 1st gear).
