I"m really lost for words now. I haven't gotten a straight answer from any source on the 65 dart 2dr. post headliner.

Some vendors say: hardtops only, 2/4 dr. sedans only, "all"...WTF?

I have 6 bows that came in the trunk of the car, no headliner.
I have a 64 Valiant 2dr. post....I just pulled the headliner to look at the color and bow count.

64 Valiant 2 dr. post: 5 Bows: #1-Brown, #2 Orange, #3Blue, #4 Pink, #5 Violet, and that one gets 6" springs tieing it back to the rear header.

65 Dart: 2dr. post: #1 Brown, #2 ORange, #3 Blue, #4 Pink, #5 no color (different position that #5 on the Valiant). Bow #6 red ends with round end adapters). ties into 2" springs at the rear header.

The C pillar of the Dart is wider than the Valiant.

What a pain. Seems even the vendors who cut the headliners aren't really sure. Some on this list told me, 65 Dart, 2 dr. post....5 bows, not 6. Others say 6 not 5. Hmmmph......

Best of luck, hope you can find another car like yours to count the seams,
for every seam, front to rear, there is a bow.

With my '64 Valiant Hardtop....

I was real lucky to have the old falling apart one to use as a map,
and waited to remove it until after I got the new one made.

I had to get mine custom made, had to measure it all
front to rear side to side etc.

Valiant and Dart headliners are Not the same.

Sad, but, the old timers who knew how to install the headliners, etc.
and do a good job are fading away. :(

I had to install mine myself, and it has a couple sags;
but, it is not falling onto my head when i drive the car,'like the old one was hahaha.

I found a picture of a 65 Dart 2dr. hdtp. Dammit if it doesn't show 6 bows!!!!
Not a great install, but that's enough to show 4 of the 6! the other 2 are in front of the dome light!

CUDAMARK made the car in a previous post (while my head was still spinning). The Dart is a 6 bow car. Valiant, 5, due to the narrower C pillar.

Now; if I can just see a pict of a 65 Dart post with 5 bows.... What did they do with the 6th?

64-66 Dodge Dart, All 2 dr htp/sdn and 4dr sedan-$79.00

{BTW I added insulation when i did my headliner, made the car quieter. :)}
Headliner Insulation

Headliner insulation glues directly to roof before the installation of the headliner. Used to improve sound deadening and adds protection from the heat.
A/B/E body models-$24.00

I,m going to work on my car(66 Dart post) at the end of this week(thurs,friday)I,ll snap some pics of the headliner for you.
