Members. In my attempt to restore my 65 hood emblem, I discovered that the window/lens is cast with the Dodge logo in one solid piece of acrylic. There is no lens or window, but what appeared to be the lens, is not a lens, and the dodge logo is not painted on the inside under a lens, but from the back of a solid acrylic casting. Cast in a solid piece of acrylic!! WOW. So here is my thought....I need a junk emblem from which I will make a mold to cast new ones in acrylic resin. Can anyone help me out with this 65 hood emblem in a reasonable form? In my blast booth, I took the paint off of the back side, and Sure'nuff, that emblem is one piece of cast acrylic which is painted from the backside...not from within the inside under a lens as I assumed. The genius of these Mopar engineers to think of that!!!! How smart is that?? Gotta hand it to whoever designed such a unique and simple approach. Wow....I was surely impressed with that design......way back in '65! Our ancestor/forerunners, were really, pretty darned smart. Better mouse traps...thinking outside of the box, and etc. Thanks for listening to my observation. Enclosed is a pic of what I am looking for. I just need the acrylic, not the chrome bezel. Thanks for the help. sgrip65
