65 dart parking brake cable?

is there a difference between a stock 65 71/4 rear end parking brake cables, and a 83/4 cables..i swapped the 8-3/4 from my 66 dart. and put in it my 65 dart, now the cable thing that hooks to the threaded end of the parking brake is 1'' or so from getting the nut on

The rear cables (the ones that mount in the backing plates) are all the same those years, regardless of which rear end or which brakes.

Is the rearend in the stock location?

That shouldn't matter if the cable housing is mounted in it's bracket on the front end and in the backing plate on the rear end.
