Since the cars are put away for another long winter, it's time to get some work done...

The Dart's steering box is definitely worn out, so my plan is to send it to Lares to get it rebuilt. I figure with shipping it will cost about $200. That's not bad, but if I could get away with a solid used box, that might be OK too. Can anyone tell me how plentiful these things are, and about what decent used boxes go for?

It's a manual box. Thanks!

"Good" is the operative word. Mechanical parts that are used and 50 years old are rarely "good". Rebuilt will likely have a warranty.

Thanks guys...

I actually picked up a used box from Tony on this website for the price range that Swing69 mentioned. If it doesn't work out, then I have one to send in for rebuild without laying the car up. Thanks for the offer, Swing.
