i just yanked this 225 and 904 from my 65 dart. Both good running and was told they were rebuilt about 30k miles ago. They both ran great and no smoke from engine and shifted fine. also i have a good 66 904 that can go with it it is also complete running condition with tc. how about 100 bucks? pick up only in Erie Pa. 16508

I think they are essentially the same engine? Yes $100 for 225 and two 904's, one 65 and one 66.

Just to be clear, NO, the crank register is smaller on the engine, as is the converter hub through '67. And as Pishta stated, the '65 has a flange on the trans for the ball&trunnion
driveshaft. As an assy., the eng. & the '66 trans could be put in together, but otherwise, no mixey/matchey!

I'm ready to come get it whenever works for him, I've been building floors and stuff for my wagon. We finally get it going and on the first drive it developed a pretty good knock. I don't want to butcher it up so this 225 would be perfect for it. Should work with my push button trans as well.
