Just read on another forum a post by SlantSixDan (someone who really knows his stuff) that the early torqueflites with both front and rear pumps use a pan filter with two openings (one feeds each pump). A Fram part number is FT1015A (see photo) which I find are not available during all of my internet searches. Who really knows if a cross reference filter would really have two ports or just one port is what concerns me. And speaking of the Mexican shop that just "overhauled" my '65 904, who knows if they used the old filter, used the correct new filter, or used the wrong new filter (one port). I will keep looking for the correct filter and now I suspect I will have to pull off the transmission pan to find what is installed. Without the extra port, the one of the pumps could be damaged.
