65 valiant Chrysler star fender logo

What is the correct color for the star emblem on bottom of front fender, buddy of mine said it could be gold or silver depending on car and year. And would the crease of the star be black as well or all one solid color?

I have only seen gold stars. Silver may just be faded gold.
