I have a little leak on the passenger side looks like its coming out from the windshield. I see prices all over the place on seals. From 49 to 149. This one looks ok but I dont want to buy it just because its priced in the middle. https://www.amazon.com/VHNROFE-Windshield-1963-1966-Barracuda-1964-1966/dp/B0DFQHGCX5?tag=fabo03-20 Any recommendations?

@RustyRatRod was pretty happy with the seal he and his wife used while replacing the windshield in his Valiant. It's been a minute....so I don't remember the brand. Precision seals or Steele Rubber brands are both good. I tagged Rob, so he will chime in when he see's it.

It was Steele Rubber.

The pro glass guys might say NO don't use, but I have had windshields leak some using a good gasket . I say, use some of that black "goop" to be sure maybe!
Maybe it came from the cowl and I though the windshield!!??? Maybe, maybe.

Personally, we have sold a good number of the Precision WCRD625 for the early A-Body applications with no issues. The price depending upon the vendor is usually in the $115 range. Make sure that you get the lockstrip as well if you decide to go that route. The Steele gasket will run you in the $245 range.

As others have stated, a windshield leak can be coming from multiple areas, so a gasket may not fix the situation.

@JDMopar, the only shows that we attend are the Indy Cylinder Head show, Carlisle in July, The Nats in Columbus and The Moparty in Bowling Green.

For the the shows in NC and SC, Steve Ivester carries a wide selection of our product that we manufacture. Those shows are basically one day events and I hate to go to these smaller shows and compete with our vendors who carries the product that we manufacture or wholesale.

Thanks for the reply. I've known Steve forever, so I will see if he has the Precision gasket # you listed above. If I come to The Nats again this year, I'll look you up to say hi.

Be prepared for rust through at the lower windshield pinch weld area.

Well I lucked out not to much rust to speak of. But the gasket was bad for sure. New gasket should be here tomorrow. Should I put a little black silicone on the sealing surfaces?

A little FYI. If you need a headliner, now is the time to do it. Much easier to do with the windshield gasket removed. Called "project creep". I'm in the process of two headliner jobs on 64 Valiants. One of which needed rust repair front and back.

Glass guys say not necessary, but I like for them (you,me) to put a little for insurance. Glass guys don't like such, as it makes the gasket harder to remove later on.
