Answer a few questions and you will get more info.
1. Do you want to stay with small bolt pattern or go larger 5 x 4.5.
2. Can you do the work yourself.
3. Have you already upgraded to a dual reservoir master cylinder.
4. Do you want power assist brakes.
5. I prefer to use factory parts, or you can use aftermarket, you choose.

yes I'm going with 4.5 bolt space ralleys.yes i can do all the work.just want manual brakes.and yes I 'm going to go with duel master..

I did the Scarebird conversion on my 65 several years ago. Back then I had about $500 in it, plus a little more to have the hubs redrilled for 4.5” bolt pattern. Now I think it might be more cost effective to buy a complete bolt on kit with later knuckles and large ball joint upper A arms.

I did the 73-up A body set up on my 63. Used the Dr.Diff ball joint adapters and re-used the stock A arms.

Hey all.I've read a lot about doing this conversion but still wondering which is the most affordable way to go?
used 73~76 uppers & spindles, reuse your LCA's. you can buy calipers and rotors new, reman or used and rebuild/turn.

repop spindles aren't that expensive either.

all the wear items are getting replaced, so it's kind of a wash money wise on that stuff.
