66-67 4298S Carb

I have a carb that i thought was for a 66 Commando 273, but after re-tracking the numbers...it's for a 66-67 383 with a manual tranny. ...looks to be in good shape.....just sitting a while. $70.00 plus the ride? Lemme know....Oak Harbor, Wa. 98277 Pat

Looks like a 4298S from the pic of the tag..same year, just for a 383/manual trans. Can anyone debunk the red tag-manual trans and blue tag-auto trans theory? heard it kicked around before.
