I'm progressing on my "slightly" modified 66 Cuda. I'm adding a 4 speed console to it, but having some issues with placing the brackets. Slopar72 sent me a link that was great for placing it "front to back"...it's "side to side that concerns me.

I'm not sure that the console that I bought is from a 66, the stripe down the middle makes me believe that it's correct...would the screw holes in the console glove box have been in the same position in the second generation Cuda's?

If this was to be bolted in rather than welded, I'd just do it. It just looks like the 4 speed shifter will be too far left to function. I know that the bracket is not placed in the center of the transmission tunnel, but can anyone tell me how to orientate the bracket from right to left??

Perhaps the right edge of the bracket ride the centerline??

Could there be a "special" Inland shifter handle??

Any help would be appreciated

The inland shifter handles between the console & non-console are different.
That helps
Any idea as to where I might find this handle ? Can you post a pic?
Can you take a measurement from the door edge to the edge of the bracket"
