66 barracuda 340 with spitfire headers . front disc brakes, looks like proportioning valve needs to be relocated to get exhaust past torsion bar . Any one relocated theirs ?

Ringer, I relocated mine to the inner fender near the master cylinder and re plumbed the rear brake nine. I have Dougs 450 headers which dont leave much room to play with. My.02

I moved mine back a couple of inches, still on the frame rail. 65 Barracuda 340, TTI headers. Then shortened the front/rear line the same couple of inches and fabbed new M/C lines. Of course, you'll need a double flare tool.

There's no single correct location; just put it wherever it clears everything. The valve location varies from one year to the next anyway. At least, the OEM locations of my 63 Valiant and 65 Barracuda were 2-3 inches apart.

I'm not even running a prop valve on my '66.
'72 up manual disk master cyl, small res to rear brakes. big res to fronts.
Worked fine with factory 8.25 drums and now with Ford 8.8/Explorer disks.
Stops great.

If I am using 73 and up disks with 10” rear drums I don’t either. Toss in the factory distribution block for 73 and up and it works as the later factory systems were designed.
