Once you get the screws out of the instrument cluster, how does it come out? I'd really hate to break this one.
 
Remove the speedo cable from the back and remove the light switch and windshield wiper switch if they go thru it.. i can't remember if they do. You need to unplug the bog plugh that is in the center of it, too.
 
if you can locate the speedometer cable sheathe commoning through the firewall, Pull it into the car some and it will push the cluster out of the dash enough to get your hands behind it. Its best to lower the steering column on most models. And please disconnect the negiyive battery cable. the amp gauge wires are HOT !
 
Okay, so the screws are the only thing intentionally holding it in place?
I just don't want to break anything because I missed a clip or something.

Well, after removing the knobs from the heater control, and taking the screw out that hides behind it, I have the gauges out and the dash harness repaired.
Major kudos to 65dartman for the under dash harness, and switch bezel.
