66 Cuda slant 6 for 289 Ford Possible???

Wow, that would as be bad a putting a VW motor in a Dodge Omni. Oh wait, they DID! 3 mounts, thats all itll take. Figure exhaust out but the 289 is way skinnier for exhaust options. Keep the hood down and keep an old Mopar on the road until you can get your real motor ready. I was close to putting a complete Lexus LS400 driveline in my '65 as the insurance totaled it for a rear fender bender. 275hp, 23 MPG and an idle that you could balance a quarter on aint bad.

I say go for it! I agree its better than putting a Chevy in there like almost EVERY other swap you see out there. Lots of oil pan choices in a SBF to make it fit.. and points ignition is the easiest to swap back and forth. I bet it wouldn't be that difficult. Even if you wanted to run a manual tranny with some late night figurrin', it's only geometry and welding lol

For the record, i posted a similar idea on a local forum about putting a 440 in my 67 Rebel 770 2dr HT and the funniest reply i got was:

"Why put a diamond in an ash tray?" :toothy7:
