I have always held my ground about wanting this restoration to be as close to factory when complete but also, and more important, not to cut corners (like putting anything back on before it's time) Taking a lot longer than I thought it would but...fingers crossed, before the end of summer she'll pull out of the garage ready to turn heads and get a few thumbs up.I would like to put some parts on mine and it is in primer
As many have said, do what makes you happy. Mine is to the build sheet but I can already see the need to get another project car to do some "slight" mods to. I like sleepers, mustangs don't LOL. Mine also came with black interior so it's not hard to continue as it was tho. I'll have to see what others restorations are like. My biggest worry right now is knowing where/how/in what order everything needs to go. Even simple thing like bearings and gaskets for rear axle. I wantt o stay original but have no idea what that means. The axles look like they have an adjustable collar on one side, machine shop guy says get what is needed and he'll take care of it, but I don't know what that is. Anyone in my area who is a Moparian, feel free to come by and enlighten me?Same with me. The only thing I am considering is changing the color. Mine is gold on gold. I really like the body color ivory with gold interior and gold stripes. I have the ivory paint, but am now not sure if I want to continue going in that direction. I really hate change.
Keep up the good work and keep us posted
