66 Dart Hood and Trunk Latch

I was media blasting the hood and trunk latches, are they the same or did I screw up and do 2 hood latches! I Seem to be having more and more senior moments!
 
They are different. The trunk latch opens with a thin rod that turns from the lock cylinder. The hood latch has a hand lever that opens it. They're pretty self-explanatory by looking at them.

O.K., I must have put it somewhere for safe keeping. Now, it’s just finding it!

After spending a half a day looking for them, i finally found them.
Both of the Locking mechanisms are the same.. ( for 66 Dart Gt)
The Trunk uses the key lock that’s attached to a flat piece that un
latches the mechanism .
The hood has a small flat metal piece that goes in the locking mechanism.
When it’s pulled down with ur finger it trips the lock. Then there’s a secondary latch release to open the hood.
I’ll attempt to take pics tomorrow
 

Hood and trunk latches look a lot alike, but, they are different. Each are the same as some other models too.
